Mr. Anthony Pierce began playing guitar at the age of six and soon after started lessons with Grant Emerson, bassist of the nationally touring band Delta Rae. As a teenager, Anthony became increasingly serious about music, beginning classical guitar studies at age sixteen with Baxter Clement, a respected classical guitarist based in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He also continued his electric guitar training with Johnathan Robinson, a seasoned rock and blues guitarist active in the North Carolina music scene.
Anthony later expanded his studies by taking online lessons with legendary guitarist Paul Gilbert, known for his work with the bands Racer X and Mr. Big, as well as for his influential solo career and instructional work.
In 2020, Anthony was accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied under renowned guitarists including Joe Stump, Jon Finn, Scotty Johnson, Tim Miller, and Nate Radley. During his time at Berklee, he released his debut solo EP, Feel the Wave (2022), and earned consistent academic honors, graduating in 2024 with a place on the Dean’s List.
Mr. Anthony currently serves as a guitar faculty member at Prime Music Institute.
