Mr. Reagan Garza is a multi-instrumentalist, writer, arranger, and educator based in the DFW area. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in jazz saxophone and a master’s degree in jazz voice both from the University of North Texas. During his time as a private student of world-renowned vocal educators Rosana Eckert and Jennifer Barnes, Reagan has worked with famous artists such as Laila Biali, Darmon Meader, Jacob Collier, Micheal Mayo, Voces8, Benny Benack III, Bria Skonberg, and King's Return.
As an educator, Reagan has over 8 years of teaching music lessons, with several of his students earning places in Texas All-State bands, gaining admission to top music schools, and earning thousands of dollars in musical scholarships. As an ensemble director, Reagan led the UNT Contemporary Music Ensemble, also known as the Zebras, to win a Downbeat award in 2023. He has also been a part of the award-winning vocal jazz group The UNT Jazz Singers, and the UNT Two O’ Clock Lab Band.
His teaching philosophy is that fun, fulfillment, and fundamentals come first! Music is an art, and passion and fun are what make it come to life!
Mr. Garza currently serves as a Piano/Voice/Saxophone faculty member at Prime Music Institute.
