
Program Description
The PMI Summer Music Academy for middle and high school students (Grades 7–12) offers a focused and enriching musical experience designed to challenge and inspire developing artists. This intensive program supports students who are preparing for auditions, competitions, advanced repertoire study, or simply seeking a higher level of artistic growth.
What to Expect
Private Coaching – Individualized instruction focused on technique, repertoire refinement, and artistic development.
Music Theory & Musicianship – Interactive classes designed to strengthen music reading, analysis, ear training, and theoretical understanding.
Chamber Ensemble Rehearsals – Collaborative small-group coaching that develops listening skills, balance, leadership, and ensemble communication.
Performance Workshop – Guided performance preparation focused on stage presence, confidence, artistic expression, and effective communication with an audience.
Final Highlight:
The academy culminates in a formal Final Showcase Concert at Steinway Hall Plano, where all students will present their work in a professional concert setting. This celebratory performance provides a meaningful goal, valuable stage experience, and an unforgettable conclusion to an inspiring summer of music-making.
